Dr. Hou has a family tradition in
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), learning it from his father at early
age. It has been more than twenty five years since Dr. Hou first committed
himself to a career in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
He first began to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in the countryside of China in the ‘70s. He received his D.O.M. from the Shaanxi College of TCM in 1982, and then taught and practiced in the same institute. After getting his M. Med. degree from the graduate school in the same institute in 1988, Dr. Hou taught and practiced both TCM acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as western medicine in the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM as attending surgeon and physician. From 1991-1994, Dr. Hou studied and did research in the Program of Biobehavioral Health, at Pennsylvania State University. From 1994 to 1998, Dr. Hou taught acupuncture and Chinese herbology in the International Institute of Chinese Medicine as a professor in the state of New Mexico. He also served as the Assistant Dean of Study, Clinic Director in the same institute. He had a private practice there, too. With more than 25 years’ clinical experience, Dr. Hou has successfully treated thousands of patients with various medical problems from simple pain management to complicated disease like multiple sclerosis. In China and the United States, Dr. Hou has done many researches and many publications in the fields of basic TCM theory, TCM herbology theory, TCM herb pharmacology, TCM ophthalmology, neuro-pharmacology, pharmaco-genetics and drug related behaviors. Currently, Dr. Hou practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in northeast Wisconsin area. |

Dr. Zeng graduated from Chengdu University
of TCM School of Acupuncture in 1980. Then she worked in the Teaching
Hospital and Research Institute of the hospital from 1980 to 1991.
In the U.S., Dr. Zeng further studied and later taught in the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in the State of New Mexico. She also supervised the Student Clinic in the same institute to train student interns. She is certified by the National Committee for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and licensed in the states of New Mexico, Connecticut, Utah and Wisconsin. Dr. Zeng has been successfully treating patients with medical problems in the field of internal medicine, gynecology, and pediatrics. She is especially specialized in the treatment of endometriosis, uterine fibromas, dysmenorrhea, amennorhea, PMS, woman’s general health problems, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, pain, and other chronic diseases with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. |
